PRESS RELEASE- ISA ZAPATA (ARTIST)
Last February 28th, the Miami Children’s Museum named its new resident artist. On this occasion, the fortunate one was the young Colombian Artist, Isa Zapata. She has been involved with the Museum since its inauguration back in 2002.
Isa has participated in several private and collective art exhibitions. The last exhibition in which she participated in was in New York City. It was organized by HHC- Health and Hospitals Corp – Art Collection celebrating Hispanic Heritage.
She has also volunteered her time and donated works of art to various NGO’s that look after the welfare of children whom are severely ill or live in extreme impoverished conditions, such as “Amigos de los Niños con Cáncer de Venezuela” and “Fundación Amigos de México”, etc.
Isa’s work of art is exhibited permanently at “Kapz Artmosphere”, 2222 Ponce de León Blvd. in Coral Gables.
On March 19th Isa is participating in the event “Artist for Asia” together with other artists such as the Colombian musical group “Bacilos” and the Venezuelan painter Fernando Sucre, in benefit of the Tsunami disaster victims.
