Canadian Artist Trish Laffrenere will have one of her paintings auctioned this weekend, February 10th, at the 2007 Conn Smythe Sports Celebrity Dinner held annually in Toronto at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.  This is a well attended yearly function with the proceeds from the silent auction going towards benefitting the Easter Seals Society.  Attended by many well known sports celebrities, this year's Celebrity Guests will be Dave Andreychuk, Dave Gilmour, Butch Carter, Wendell Clark, Kyle Wellwood, Torri Wilson and Butch Carter to name a few.

This will be the second painting Trish has donated to this dinner.  Having received help from Easter Seals for one of her children's medical expenses in the past she is a firm believer in 'giving back'.  She has also donated paintings to the Children's Brain Tumor Foundation as well as a private school in B.C. to help raise much needed funds and is currently working on a painting to donate to the Children's Aids Health Program that helps nationally and internationally to prevent the spread of Aids among children and youth.

Below is the painting that was donated.  It is titled, "Every Child Has A Dream".  This painting depicts a physically challenged boy that because of his passion for hockey, dreams of someday playing on the Olympic Men's Sledge Hockey Team.  Visit Trish's website at http://www.simplyart.tk
