Bottled Air is a mod that offers a new way to stay underwater longer and thus enjoy exploring the seabed added by Minecraft update 1.13. In addition to the already existing potions and conduits, you can now suck air from a Vial. To do this, simply right-click on an empty Vial while swimming, when the air bubble bar is visible. This will allow you to fill half the air bubbles by default.
To prevent your inventory from being completely filled with Water Vials during this process, you can hold one of the fire-type items in your left hand. The fire type blocks that are currently supported are Campfires, Fireballs, Lava Buckets and Magma Blocks. When you hold one of these blocks, the newly created Vial of Water evaporates and you recover the empty Vial. By default, there is a 50% chance that the vial will break during this process.
You can via the configuration file, change some things in the mod and configure it according to your wishes. Here are the parameters you can manage:
- holdFireTypeItemInOffhandToPreventWaterBottleCreation (default = true): Whether water bottle creation should be prevented (evaporated) when holding a fire type block in the offhand.
- chanceGlassBottleBreaksWithFireTypeInOffhand (default = 0.5, min 0, max 1.0): The chance that a vial breaks when the object in the left hand evaporates the water, returning an empty vial (air).
- amountOfAirInBottles (default = 150, min 0, max 1000): The amount of air an empty vial contains. In the vanilla version of Minecraft, 300 is the maximum amount of air.
