If you’ve played on the Bedrock version of Minecraft, you may have noticed some additional graphics features that we don’t have on the Java version of Minecraft. Console Experience is a mod that offers to add this missing content.

Mainly, the mod improves the tooltip of the item that is displayed above the shortcut bar, adding a lot of useful information. It adds a character’s paperdoll that appears when you perform certain actions and repositions the shortcut bar a little higher on the screen. It also includes an animated vault icon that appears every time your world is saved.

Console Experience is highly customizable and you can change everything via the configuration file.

Tooltips

The information displayed in the tooltip when you hover the mouse over the object includes :

  • Displaying multiple enchantments on enchanted objects
  • The potions show the effect and duration
  • The shulker boxes display some of their contents.
  • The fireworks show the duration and the effects they have
  • The durability of a tool
  • And then some.

How to install Console Experience [Mod]

  1. Make sure you have already installed Minecraft Forge.
  2. Locate the minecraft application folder.
    • On windows open Run from the start menu, type %appdata% and click Run.
    • On mac open finder, hold down ALT and click Go then Library in the top menu bar. Open the folder Application Support and look for Minecraft.
  3. Place the mod you have just downloaded (.jar file) into the Mods folder.
  4. When you launch Minecraft and click the mods button you should now see the mod is installed.
