Applied Energistics 2 (or as it is more briefly called AE2) is actually a very interesting modification of Minecraft with support for the current and latest version 1.16.5, related to energy in our cubic universe.
The developers have implemented a lot of different tools in order to be able to easily both extract and use in the future received energy. You will have access to new blocks, and completely new mechanisms for you to work with energy.
