While Minecraft is often considered a construction game, nature plays an important role. First because it’s the canvas on which you can express yourself. Second, because successive updates of Minecraft have greatly expanded its generation and complexity. As a result, Naturalis, as its name suggests, is dedicated to giving Minecraft’s natural landscapes a new lease of life.
We’ll talk here more about a second wind than a revolution. Indeed, Naturalis takes the original textures of the game as a basis, on which it applies some modifications. First of all, there are color changes. Naturalis adopts a warmer palette. Without necessarily making the colors more vivid, the pack highlights textures with warm colors, such as wood and its derivatives.
The textures themselves maintain a 16x resolution. Their basic appearance does not change too much, but Naturalis plays with relief to print square patterns in different blocks. More generally, this reorganization of the textures makes lines appear which sometimes make the game more pixelated.
