Flexible Skills Mod is a mod made by MentaikoMod that adds a skills system to Minecraft. Thanks to it, you can customize your character according to your style of play and different situations.
It currently contains 90 skills that give various permanent effects to players. Press the P key (default) to open the mod’s graphical interface and change the skills whenever you want. You can acquire skills by spending the experience you gain by killing creatures or harvesting minerals. There’s no need to unlock a skill, just choose the one that suits you.
How does it work?
To acquire skills, you will need to combine the following three types of skills: positive skill, negative skill, and single skill. Positive skills have a positive effect on players, negative skills have a negative effect on players while single skills have neither a positive nor a negative effect. When you choose a positive skill, you must necessarily select a negative skill to balance the game. Single skills are optional, but if you select them, the number of single skills must not exceed the number of positive and negative skills.
When you die, you will lose skills at random. The loss will not occur if you are playing creatively or as a spectator, or if the keep inventory rule in the configuration file is set to true.
